Default Blinker rate

I just put in new front and rear blinkers but they are blinking super fast. Has anyone had this happen? and what did you do for it? put in a resistor or something.

Thanks for the help.

What year is your bike?

For the 07-10 its a simple replacement of the turn-signal relay. You just remove the seat, unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Super easy.

I'm not sure about the 03-06 but the above relay doesn't work for it.

If the new blinkers are leds then they dont draw enough power for the bike to see them. What that means is that the ecu thinks the bulb is blown so it blinks rapidly to let you know. So you have to add a resistor inline to trick the ecu into seeing power draw. That will slow down your blink rate...
