Bike won't start after winter rest??

Won't start
Mine was the same yesterday. I sprayed some contact spray in the kill switch gave it a tap and when I then switched the ignition on I heard the usually noises and it fired up. But 2 days later the battery was flat as. Should the clock be permanently on.

Yes, measure drain amount when OFF. Most likely shorted wire somewhere draining battery.
Could also be battery, did you have it on tender during winter?
1. measure battery voltage with everything OFF, volts = ???
2. measure battery voltage with key ON, volts = ???
3. measure battery voltage when pushing start-button, volts = ???

03 CBR 600RR. I haven't started it all winter. I got the battery charged up and now it just cranks forever and won't even attemp to fire up. Taking a closer listen, I don't believe I am hearing the fuel pump fire up when I first turn the key on. Does the fuel pump need reset or something? Can gas go bad from sitting thru the winter? Thanks for any help.
