Okay, so I just got home. I went and grounded that wire I was talking about and instantly the injectors primed, the FI light came on. I hit the starter and she fired right up, as soon as I took that wire off the ground it died. So, I screwed it down on the (-) terminal and all is good again. Now I have am curious as to what that wire is for. I really don't think it is factory, I followed it a little bit and it just goes down in the fairing. Anyone ran into something like this?
I know it is not factory. It is some kind of blue and clear speaker wire with a cheap ring connector crimped on it. I might trace it someday I feel like taking the rear fairing off. I do have a smoked tail/turn signal combo to put on so I will tackle it then. I wonder if it is going to some kind of relay or something. I really doubt it has an aftermarket ignition. The previous owner never mentioned anything like that.
ok i can help with this.....charge the battery all for a good solid day.....then...and i know this sounds wierd..but i had the same problem on my 03....after the battery is fully charged.....open the throttle for 5 seconds while cranking...do this a few times but i can almost guarantee its gonna start...its in the owners manual...its floooded...
By open throttle i mean cranked all the way open....
