battery died
i remember reading that our batterys suck but wow! i was at the gas station the other day turned my bike off for maybe 10 minutes (the lights were turned off btw) and when i went to start her it was dead. anyway my buddy had to come and push me through the parking lot to get me going again. well my bikeonly has2000 miles on it, ive had the 400 mile service and im waiting for the 4000 one. i just didnt think they sucked this bad.... oh well what do you guys normally replace the stock batteries with?

RE: battery died
the batteries don't suck. it usually bois down to a couple things:
1: Rideing was a little rough (wheelies, stoppies, potholes, etc) causing a damaged battery
2: Loose connections
3: Regulator / Rectifier module failure (less prone on the 2nd gen RR)
4: Damaged Stator
5: Starting and stopping the engine repeatedly.
6: Short trips.
test everything before you buy parts. don't just dump $60 on a new battery... it may not be the cause.
