Default Anyone have this setup?

Just wondering if anyone had their bikes geared -1/+4 or -2/+4. A service rider atthe local shop told me it gives awesome launch and low end speed, but you lose 10-15 on the top. Just wondering if anyone had this and what they thought about it. Thanks

I don't have that setup, but using my best judgement you will loose more like 20-40 off the top end. I lost about 10 with just -1 in the front. It was actually closer to 15, but the bike is off by a little over 5 at top speed anyway, so I only count it as 10. I imagine with a -2 +4 setup, your bike would be great for wheelies, but most likely terrible for launches. I can't stay anywhere close to full throttle through my first 3 gears with -1, so I can only imagine what that setup would do. It would be cool to hear from someone that has that setup, I just wouldn't want to do it.

sounds like a stunters setup up to me....That's a little TOO radical of a sprocket change.

i would agree. with the -1/+2 i am at 157mph at the rev limiter in 6th gear with a speedo healer so it is almost exactaly acurite, you would defonately hae trouble keeping the front end down if you went wit thoes changes. my front end gets light all the time but will not stand up unless i tell it to. or if i creest a sharp hill it will power wheelie. Also, I know hardly any of us bought these bikes to get good gas milage but min went down to 32mpg with -1/+2 and other mods. (im not sure what they get stock) but it sucks having to fill up every 130 miles or less if you keep the throttle wode open all the time.
