I am thinking about buying an 06 cbr600rr for my first bike, but I think I might be too tall. . . Can someone tell me if 6'7" is tall tall for this style of bike? And if possible could I raise it? I was planning to sit on one tomorrow, but if someone could help me out then maybe I won't look like such a dumbass at the dealership.

 

You would look even dumber if you bought and then found out [:@]. Go ahead and do your homework first

 

im 6'5" and i fit on mine good....i was thinking about getting a 1000 but every day i ride i get more and more comfortable on the bike

 

You'll pretty much look like an ape riding a pocket bike no matter what you get... [&:]

 

nicely put fretless, just go to a stealership and try one on. it may feel weird at first but like mentioned above, at first mine was as uncomfortable as hell then it grew to fit me. (got more comfortable over time)

 

Try sitting on as many different bikes as available to you. I went to a Yamaha(r6&r1), Kawasaki(zx6r&zx10), Suzuki(600,750), Triumph(675), and Honda. Every person will fit on a bike differently, it is all about what is important to you. I think you will find that Liter bikes are not much taller then 600's. The Honda fit me best (i'm 6ft tall) and the 600 was a reasonable first bike purchase. But only you and all the research you can do will help mak YOUR decision. Good luck with your shopping!

 

Get the 1000 or bigger. The 600 is to small for you. The 1000 has a few more inches of reach from the seat to the steering not by much but better.

 

The wheelbase is only an inch bigger, seat height is the same and a 600 is more than capable to haul his big "you know what" around...
