Story from a friend

There was this guy driving a brand new Harley home from the dealership and he approached a stop sign. He gradually slowed down and all of a sudden just tipped over. Being a motorcycle rider he busted out laughing at the guy and then gained his composer and went up to him to give him a hand. He helped the gentleman up and asked him why didn't he put his foot down and the man replied with "that never accured to me"

As I backed the two-wheeler into the garage last night, I dropped the kickstand and properly dismounted. For some stupid reason, I was not happy with the position of the bike. I decided to move it forward a few inches, of course not realizing that I had slightly retracted the kickstand. I let go of the handlebars and just started to turn around when suddenly I felt the weight of the bike on my right thigh.

I grabbed the bars and we began our decent. Luckily my left shoulder struck the garage wall preventing me from falling any further (ouch!). As I straightened up the black beast, my face was red, my arms looked like I just finished boot camp, and my adrenalin was pumping like being chased by a big dog. While cursing softly, I managed to collect myself before entering the house.

As I opened the door, my wife looked at me and asked….“how was your ride”? In a very cool and somber tone I said…“it was alright”. She then said….“hope it was better than your parking”.

I had new tires on my 02 R1 and rather than concerntrating on new skins on front and back, and more on whether I put everything back right and torque I took a bend a little too fast and low sided. Felt liek a complete a$$ thinking what the hell just happen then I realized oh yeah new tires on front and back with 0 miles on them!

Don't feel bad and F them!

good stories.... love em. Gives us all something to think about.

I have one from my riding buddy.

Not much to tell, just when you stop at a toll plaza, watch your feet. It was funny watching him running in place like scooby doo trying to keep his VTX1800 upright. The oil from the cagers and harley's leave a nice slick for us to stand in.

When I had my F3 some friends and I met some girls at village inn and conversation moved to the parking lot because the chicks dig bikes and wanted to see. I was standing real cool like, (you know arms crossed and leaning on the stand side of the bike) and didn`t notice that every time I adjusted my *** I stood the bike up a little more. Finally, It went over and since I was already leaning on it, the windmill arms thing could only buy me about 2 seconds before I fell backwards over the bike. My feet went all the way over during my secret ninja backflip and I landed the steel toe of my boot into the car in the next spot over, setting off the alarm. Did I mention we were on the window side of the building ? Anyone who wasn`t watching already gave their full attention to the car alarm. By the time I got to my feet the chicks were gone and my friends were laughing too hard to help. Then I had to deal with the owner of the car I just put a dent in.

I have also dropped the bike off the stand and forgot to put the kickstand down. twice.

I don't know.. but I think that's one of the best ones so far.

I forgot all about this until you mentioned the kickstand bit.... when I was in my MSF course, a boyfriend/girlfriend duo were there with their matching black/grey gixxers. She was all of 5' nothing so they took her bike to a shop to have it lowered before the class. Very nice job, I guess if you like lowered bikes... but one thing. They never touch the kicked stand. On flat ground with the stand down, the bike was perfectly straight up. Ever few minutes as the instructors were going over the next task... crash. Anytime the wind blew... BAM! Lesson learned. After a couple drops, we held the task discussions next to her bike.

got a new dumbass moment for all of you to enjoy. a couple days ago, i deciding to take my drz400s out for some backroads fun. started it up with the choke open to full (really high revs.) so i backed it up in the garage. i didn't think about checking the neutral light and let go of the clutch. the bike lunged forward and popped one hell of a wheelie right into the passenger door of my truck. this set off the alarm. by the time i ran into the house to get my keys to turn the alarm off, my nosey-*** neighbor came over to see what was going on. i came out to see him laughing, the bike on its side and a monster dent in my door. i told him to get out and went back inside and called it a day.
