Im looking into getting a slip on for my 06 cbr rr and i love the look of the akrapovic oval shape design. But on the website it says they are made with a built in noise dampner in them and the picture shows the size of the exuahst outlet is way smaller with that in. Can it be removed? do they sell the slip on without it? I love the look of the large open outlet with nothing blocking it? does anyone kno what im talking about?

Thats the chart... the full system ones seem to be open in the pictue but the slip on has the dampner..

Yes. There is a Street version (has noise damper) and a Race Version (without Damper). 2Brothers do the same thing too.

I believe the damper is welded into place. I'm looking at the same slipon for mine.

The street legal version sounds great! Deep, mellowed out sound. If you are looking for something mind-blowing loud, look somewhere else. Akrapovic exhausts are mellow and have that high-quality "tuned supercar" sound to them.

The race version is......well......louder. If you don't want the damper, you will need to get the race version of the slipon.
