Default Akrapovic Exhaust

Does anyone have this system on their 1000RR? I currently have a Yoshimura RS-5 slip on, and I've been thinking about doing a full system for about the past year. I heard an Akrapovic on another 1000 last year and it sounded great. Don't know much about them other than they are expensive. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Justin

Well, I'm shopping around different prices right now. Looking at the Evolution system, Titanium w/ Carbon Hex Can. Figured if I'm going to do it, I might as well go all out.
Anyone have any suggestions on where to get one at a good price? Heard anything good or bad?

You can't go wrong with that system. Sound is perfect IMO. Do you have a Power Commander?

No, I don't have a Power Commander. It's on the list though. I'd like to do the Akrapovic full system, change the air filter and do a power commander. Akrapovic's racing line and evolution line, besides the Evo being titanium and the Racing being stainless (small weight difference), is there a difference in performance? If not, I might as well save myself $300+ andgo with the Racing line, I canstill get the Carbon Hex Can with that system. Any info or thoughts anyone?

Besides the weight difference the gains are supposed to be the same. Get the full race system and a power commander for the price of the Evo. I had the full race system on my 600RR and it was bad ***. The can was titanium and the headers were stainless, fit and finish were perfect. I'm planning on just doing a Akro slip on, BMC race air filter, power commander and ignition commander on my new 07 tho.

Get it from Hard Racing.
I just recieved my Akro Racing (stainless) system with Titanium silencer for $1039+25 shipping.
The Titanium system is $1639. These guys have the best prices!
I'll let you know what I think when I put it on. Maybe this weekend.

Does anyone know if the Hex will fit the 2004? I have seen it for sale marked at 2005-2007.
