Default Aftermarket Exhaust Heat

Hi all I own a 07 RR and was thinking of a aftermarket pipe. I was curious if any of you have experienced a increase in heat under the seat with the aftermarket pipe?

i own an 07 as well and i've put an aftermarket exhaust on mine. The heat sheild wouldnt fit with my pipe so it had to be removed. I lined underneath the bike with reflective tape that you can get at any hardware store. (highly recommend it) I've never had any prob with feeling heat under the seat and non of my passengers have complained about it either.

never experienced heat issues with any undertail setup bike, if anything it feels cooler under there seeing how most aftermarket pipes are titanium, stainless, or carbon which all have lower heat temps. just put that chrom heat wrap stuff the exhaust come with or buy it at a store.

I kept the heatshield off when I went aftermarket because I didn't feel like dealing with putting it back in. I noticed it was a slight bit warmer near my right leg (have an 05cbr1Krr). Besides that, I haven't noticed any difference and the heat at my leg is only when I'm not wearing boots and stopped at a stop sign, red light etc..
