600 rr normal temps
I did try a search first but didn't come up with an answer. Today I rode my bikein 37 degrees (farenheit)weather in city traffic, (not heavy) and noticed the temp around 178 while moving and at stop lights going up to 200-215 degrees. I'd expect these temps if it was summer, but in cold winterish weather, is it cooling properly?

Seems a little strange mate but not too much to worry about as long as you got coolant in the over flow tank. These bikes do run warm. I had mine up to 106 c /222f before the fan comes on. Usually seems to run about 180f when its 86f air temp . Its always up and down pretty quickly when im in traffic. hope this helps mate

RE: 600 rr normal temps
My temp is usually around 180 when I ride for a while in 30-40 degree weather. If I run around in stop and go for a while, I see 200 sometimes to 210 degrees on brisk day. I wouldn't worry about it too much. (in fact, I just got home from a friends house (yes I rode), and it's 21 outside. Just pull the bike into the garage and it was at 189 degrees.)

I was surprised by the same thing, so apparantly its normal.
During summer it runs at 200 while riding and quickly jumps to 215-220 at
a stop light.
During winter (in VA my coldest ride has been around 30) it runs around 170-175 while
riding, and will jump to 215 at a longer stop light.
I figured as long as its fluctuating, and the fans kick in at 220, then everything is working !
Chris.
