I used to own a 01 F4i and i loved that bike up untill it got jacked. I'm finally at a point where i can buy a new bike and i love the 07 cbr-rr. I only have one gripe about the bike. I absolutely hate and despise the way the tail brake light hangs out in no man's land under the exhaust pipe. I don't understand why they didn't do like the '06 model and have the tail light mounted above the exhaust pipe under the fairing. I hate this design so flippin much that its really stopping me from buying this bike.

I know its still early but does anyone know of a eliminater or replacement for this tail light??????

I think if you do a search.. there have been a couple guys with the 07 who have done the 06 conversion on theirs.. looks pretty good i must say.. Dont let the rear setup turn you off of the 07 its a sweet ride.. cosmetics can be adjusted... Good luck

 

My roommate has an 07 600RR, and we are going to attempt the 06 taillight modification on his tail pretty soon. I'll post up a very lengthy, very detailed write-up of how it went.

 

Yes please do cuz i would love to have the old tail light assymbly on the new bike.

 

If you look on ebay I have seen a couple of different versions of the eliminator. The pics arent the greatest and that is why I havent pulled the trigger on buying one yet. Am looking forward to seeing what is available.
