Got the bike ready for the year, some maintenance and new fairings. Everything was great for a few days but headlights stopped working today. Neither side lights up at all, every other light on the bike works fine, including the daytime running light.

is anyone knowledgeable in the sun harness and would know which connection to look for that would cause only the lights to go out?

or would fuse/relay cause this?

I have heard of the starter switch problem causing this on 03-06 models, but is this problem known to happen on the 07?

 

Yup, headlight power still goes through start-button to turn off headlights for more cranking.



Measure that you have power going into start-button on blk/red wire.

Then measure power headlight power leaving start-button on blu/wht wire.

If no power then start-button has fried contacts, broken/cracked solder joints, or broken wire.
