Hey guys (and Hot chicks who ride) I thought I'd add my Frame Slider install to the Net so if anyone is looking for more info they have it to add to the knowledge they may have taken from others.

Note: Obvious information added to this post is for search purposes. AND if your not familar with using tools or have any doubt in your ability to do this, Dont! Save yourself the hassle of having to replace expensive parts and pay a professional to do it. I did my own because these types of things are what I excel in and have made enough mistakes to know better LOL.

My Frame Slider install is on my 2006 Honda CBR RR. I will try to give a step by step of what I did and the tools I used.

I first started on the left side. Now, you will repeat Most of the same steps on the opposite side, BUT the Sliders I used http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/scripts...Category=12746Specifically had a left and right slider for the install, so make sure you check with the instructions.


I had already removed the frame bolt and added the bolt from the frame slider. You will notice that the head of the bolt is black (that is black paint I used to mark the fairing to see where I was going to start the hole (I saw a post where someone used puddy by placing the puddy in the general area of the side to see where the bolt would make its mark). I first marked the side and then removed the padding for the hole but realized that the tool (Dremel) I was using http://www.cordless-drills.net/Cordl...el-7700DRE.htm needed more room to work with (whick you will see in the following photos).





I drilled a small hole in the center of the marking and then traced an outline of the large "Bolt" that would be sticking out of the fairing.



After drilling the small hole I Gradually made the hole larger and each time I made the hole larger (LITTLE BY LITTLE... YOU ONLY CAN CUT ONCE!!!) I placed the fairing back in the respective area checking to see if everything lined up.



SERIOUSLY, it is worth the hassle of checking and re-checking your progress, as you will see. (this is with the fairing all "screwed up" and all that is left is to add the slider).



Finally the last 2 photo's of the finished job. Keep in mind your slider may require a larger hole (more free play) But AGAIN. Check and re-check everything before you make any hole bigger. Best of luck to you all. I hope this has helped.
