Default 2006 cbr600rr start up issue

So today I replaced all the fairings on the bike and rode it around just fine. On the way back home the bike stalled completely and lost all power to everything on the left handle bar. Had the bike towed home, then gave it a look over and realized the connection to the left mirror came loose.

As I took the fairings off to fix it, the wires tapped the forks and the bike came to life briefly then no more. How can the connections coming loose from the mirror take away power from the left handle bar controls and could I have shorted any thing by that small spark?

Check the fuses, they should in theory protect the bike from that sort of issue. Any power line to ground would be likely to blow something.
