Default 2003 600rr been sitting for 10 years..

In 2010 I broke my back and neck and my bike has been garaged since then. I tried at the time to drain the gas with the tank on the bike but I know I didn't fully drain it. Well last week I cleaned my garage and tried starting the bike but there's no fuel prime. I checked all the fuses, relays, BAS, everything was good(I did not try testing the zener diode). From there I took off the tank to drain the old nasty gas and to check the fuel pump. The fuel pump was pretty corroded and the part on top that holds the 'float sensor' for the gas gauge was bad. The gas gauge was also going crazy on my cluster when I had the key on so I'm assuming it was this. My tank has a solid rust looking line around the bottom where the old gas was and when it dried out it was flaky/metal around the rest of the tank. At this point I want to sell the bike without putting much money into it, am I better off trying to get it running and then sell or just sell it as is? If you guys do recommend trying to get it running first, what steps should I take to get everything going?(clean tank, new oil, brakes?, fuel pump/injectors, etc)

Well everyone has opinions, so here's mine. A running bike is going to be easier to sell and fetch a higher price than one that doesn't. If you're not going to be riding it, then for me I don't think I'd be interested in investing my time into something that I'm just going to sell. Stick a low price on it and let someone else enjoy bringing it back to life and then riding it.

IMO

Could be tricky getting it running right and might not be cheap....
Be honest with the new owner and let them have all the fun.....

I'd agree with letting someone else enjoy it 'as is'. It wouldn't necessarily be the money invested, but more the time and likely frustration of trying to get everything sorted out...

Actually we’re just being selfish. We are hoping you will sell it as is and then the buyer will join this forum requesting help bringing his newly purchased project back to life.

I agree selling it as is is probably the best move for me since I do not plan on riding it after it's fixed, I'd also have to insure it and its on non-op right now. I've talked to 3 local dealers/shops around me and they want at least $200 just to look at it plus anything else and a 2 month wait on 2 of those shops. I'm not that mechanically inclined but I think I'd be able to figure stuff out if I went that route which I don't think I am.

My next question is, what would my bike even be worth(give or take)? I've tried looking around local(California) and nationwide on cycletrader / offerup / craigslist, just to get a ball park and there isn't too many especially not running. Is it more of, post a high price and see if anyone responds type of thing? The bike is pretty much stock except for a fender eliminator and front turn signals. I unfortunately laid it down going about 30 and broke part of the front fairing and has minor scratches on the tank and rear fairing. 10,500 miles on the bike.

Thank you guys for the responses!
