Default 2003 600 RR no HISS light, no fuel pump

Hi

I need some suggestions on what to do.

My 2003 600rr EU modell have been standing still for about a month killing the battery.

Now after charing the battery i have no HISS light and the fuel pump wont start. Its like the immobilizer av kicked in.

The battery seems fine reading around 12.6-12.8 volts. Fuel Pump works if i wire to the battery. All fuses are ok.

The bike worked fine the last time i used it. Last time it did also have a weak battery leading me to jumpstart the bike with a different motorcycle battery. After that i rode about 100 km with several start and restart stop so i dont think there really is a wiring issue.

I've also tried the "restart HISS method" of holding ADJ for 2 sec after ignition on which make the HISS light flash once but nothing more.

Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to the forum. The electrical contacts inside some of the switches are notorious for getting dirty. Try rocking the Engine Stop switch on the right handlebar Off/On a few times with the Ignition Switch in the On position. Is your headlight turning on when you turn the Ignition Switch (key) to the On position?

HI

Thank you.

Yes, everything turns on except the HISS light and no fuelpump priming. It's just like the system have forgotten my key.

The Fuel Pump and ECM are controlled by the BAS or Bank Angle Sensor. It is located up in the nose of the bike. If there are any lose connections going to it or if it has been knocked out of position, it will prevent power from getting to the pump and ECM.

Also put battery on charger longer. Should be 13,5-13,8 fresh off charger.

The bas is already bypassed and long gone.

Judging from your respons this might not have anything to do with the hiss system and should be treated like any other electronic issue.

I will get a new battery today just to rule that out.

Don't need new battery, just charge up existing one.

To help others. I had some broken wires on the left side of the bike and one of the relays were stuck. When i fixed the wires i got the hiss light back. Constant red. After swapping the relays around a few times i got it to work. All relays are now replaced so happy days.
