Default 15000 mile check????

I know at 15000 mi you should have your bike serviced...valve check ect.....my bike is at 13,000 miles , how inportant is this check? You guys/girls that have gone past the 15000 mile check have it done???is it worth it... Reason why I ask is because I do most of my own work on my bike and I see no reason to bring it in and drop 300-400 dollars on something that im not sure I need.....I guess what I am asking is it a good idea to have the stealership look over my bike or not.....I cant make up my mind.

i have one other question....i stored my bike in my shed this year due to mike 67 cameo project im doing in my garage.....the shed is not heated and every now and then i went in to check on it. About a month ago I noticed anti freeze on the floor. So, I moved the bike around to see where the leak was and to check how long it would take to make a puddle. Each time i checked (every few days) there was a small wet spot... So, Sunday I took all the plastic off and changed the oil and started the bike up....let it run to see where the leak was comming from and nothing.....no leak nothing was wet......I left and let the bike cool down and came back to it about an hour later....still nothing no wet spot on the ground and no sign of the leak....each day since Sunday I have cheked it and everything is dry and coolant is at the full line. I have know idea where this anti-freeze came from...never added anti-freeze to the bike and never read low on the bottle...any ideas?????

someone else can prob answer this better whose had the valves check, i didnt on my old F4i because of the low milage on the bike, if i still have my RR when its time, ill prob get it done, esp if i plan on keeping her for a while which i do
As for your antifreeze? only thing i can think of is a hose clamp was loose? i know my F4i had this issue, i just tightened the clamp and all was ok.

thanks for the input CBR TIME. I tighted all my clamps just before I started the bike so maybe that is what it was.

I just talked to my Honda dealer and he said at 15000 miles its just a check over...chain, cables, ect.... and oil cahnge. He said unless there is a ticking noise(louder than usaul..what ever that means) the valves wont need to be checked til 20-25000 miles....Im not sure if I want to wait that long but I also dont want to bring it in for stuff I check myself..

He also said the check over is about 120.00 labor only and the more complex check over valves and more into the engine is about 300.00-400.00 labor only. I would like to hear from someone that has had their bike surviced at 15,000 miles and what they did exactly and was it worth it...

thanks
