Do a search, there have been many post on this subject.

600 miles is the initial oil and oil filter change, clutch and throttle adjustment.

Oil and filter change, and adjustments to throttle and clutch IF NESSESSARY (which at 600mi, wasn't for me).

Use a purolator PureONE PL14610 filter and any wet clutch safe oil you want, conventional, semi-synthetic, or full synthetic... It doesn't matter.

http://600rr.us/oil_change.html <<< Follow these directions for oil change
http://600rr.us/adjustments.html<<< These are the locations for adjustments if nessessary. don't fuq with the idle.

everything will feel sloppy and loose. that's when you know you need an adjustment.
