Default 07 hotbodies flush mount front turn signals

Ok installing the hotbodies front flush mount turn signals and havent ever tackled anything electrical before. My question is where do i cut the wires at. Should i take out the actual light bulb and 3 screws and cut at where it attaches to the bulb housing or should i cut right where it goes into the plastic so incase i need to put the stockers back on for some reason? Thanks.

Sorry if this doesnt make much sense...

its not that hard

if you dont mind losing your running lights then it is easy

cut oem plug off of oem signal
wire the oem plug to new signal

green is ground
solid is turn signal
the striped wire is the running light

if you want to keep your running lights go to www.hooliganbiketech.net and check into the mototek flushmount installation how to.
it shows how to wire in diodes so you can keep your running lights on standard bulbs. i did it when i installed my new signals and they work great.

if the signals now flash too fast for your taste go to radio shack and get two 20w by 8 ohm resistors and jump the green ground wire to the turn signal wire (solid color)
this will slow down the blink rate

easy stuff

yah it was pretty easy...but the actual light never is actually flush with the body...the back sticks in a little. I'm assuming this is how its supposed to be as the washers on make the front come out more and the back come up flush.

yep, the hotbodies sit into the body panel
if you want otherwise go with protons at about twice the price
