I was wondering what you guys thought a good price on an 04 600rr that needs all new plastic with the exception of the tail. It has 4000 miles and he says it stills rides and steers good and that the frame is not bent and the title is clean. I dont have any pictures at this time, hopefully they are on their way. For reference he is asking $4000. I guess what I am really getting down to is what are the prices for new plastics and what else should I look at that could have been messed up in the spill(s). Thanks.

 

Plastics, marker/signal lights, mirrors, upper fairing stay, brake and clutch levers, rearset (shifter and brake levers are famous for bending/breaking), windscreen, engine case covers (stator, clutch), seat(s) . . .

I don't even want to get into the mechanicals that might be screwed . . .

Get some pictures of this wreck and post em up - let's see what we can see. Price varies upon degree of damage, but I'd offer $2k or less.

 

$4000 is way to much. I paid $5200 for my '04rr. 5000 miles with one scratch on the fairings. Offer alot less than what he is asking.
