Turns out there were lots of issues with the decals over the PlastiDip. The heat from the engine caused them to curl and peel. I tried Krazy Glue on the edges to keep them from peeling but that was a mistake because when I finally went to peel the decals it peeled the dip.

So on to the next phase. Finished pulling the last of the blue tribal off. Peeled a lot of little pieces of dip so I prepped it for a new layer. I was also in the process of dipping the swingarm so I removed it and dipped the dogbone and linkage black.

The swingarm was a custom blue. It was too light at first so I darkened the Dip and resprayed it. I was planning on doing the rear rim Blaze Orange and the front in the same blue. I thought I should redo the tribal in the same blue but did not try it.

I did the bottom of the side fairings black to match the lowers and not show as much road grime.

Under the mirror, protected from the sun, you can really see the color fade of the Blaze (flourescent) Plastidip. They have added new colors that don't fade like this.

While I had her all apart it was time to change the chain. I was prepping for my trip to Virgnia so I wanted all maintenance done and it was good timing. I got the orange chain and Driven black sprocket kit with Blue Probolts from MotoMummy

My trip to Virginia to meet friends and ride Skyline drive in Shenandoah ( I will start another thread for that) included a quick run up to New York to see my dad. Amazing 4000 mile 10 day jaunt up the East Coast (which I had never been. Epic trip of a lifetime? I hope not, I plan to take more...

My dad was a project manager for the restoration efforts to get the viewing platforms and security checkpoints being rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy. So while the island was closed I got to take the bike out on the area that people are normally walking around!

Here the mods basically end. The only other thing to mention really is tires. This bike started at 8900 miles with a set of Pilot Powers. I ran those for my second run and then switched to the 2CT for the next two sets. I changed to the Battleax BT-023 on this last tire change. I only put about 2k on these so I can't say about the durability although they are supposed to last longer for commuting and they are grippy in the corners. Now that being said I am going back to Pilot Powers, probably the 3s for the next go round. I was not as comfortable on the BattelAx. Just an after thought really.

Bittersweet to say good bye to my first. She was a fun ride and did me right for almost 30,000 miles in the last nearly 3 years. It was just as much sentimental value as it was the opportunity to own a project bike whether for stunting or track, I was happy to be able to buy her back. I will attach a link to the new thread as she is no longer the Broncos bike and it is likely I will let the wifey determine a paint scheme for her. Thanks all for your interest and I look forward to more fun and learning... (first up in the new thread will be stripping her down for valve clearances since she sits at nearly 40,000 miles
