Been lurking on here for a while now but havent really posted much. Just recently added a carbon fiber RS-5 slip on and DIY fendor eliminator.

Hi mate.....well done nice fitted! I got an 03 600rr and i'm in the process of doing the rs5 exhaust as well. How did u find it on the bike, sounds nice? And performance wise, won't see a big diff eh?

 

hey where did u get that elimanitor kit? i just got pulled over a few times cause the one i have if down into the bike so no one can see it, ive been lookin for one like yours.

 

Thanks for the comment Jos, yeah it sounds nice. Pretty loud at idle but not raspy, more like a smooth deep loud. As for faster, hmm.......kinda, feels a lil quicker. You will love it once you put it on. Are you getting the carbon fiber slip on or full system?


Flyboy, as the for the FE, I made it. I searched the DIY (How to..) section on making your own FE. Saves a ton of money so that you could spend it on other mods. What I did was bought a cabinet hinge at Home Depot and bolted it on the exhaust clamp. So the license plate could be adjusted/pivoted. Eventually I'm gonna powder coat it.

Sounds nice...that's what i'm looking for to be smooth deep loud . I'm getting the rs5 slip-on with stainless steel mid pipe, i'm not sure wheter i get it carbon or titanium. Had a look at your bike it's nice, you know what you could do and in my opinion will looks awesome??! Get the swinging arm paracoated in black...but I know it's a big project and involves lots of work

 

yeah, I 'm gonna powder coat my rear sets, swing arm, and covers black. I just received my integrated lights and will be installing it when I'm free.

Next mod would be a dark smoke windscreen, ASV levers, and woodcraft rear sets.

I ride with a guy that has an 05 with a RS5 stainless slip on, definately the best for the buck all around. Dont think you will notice much until you get a header, filter and PC.

 

Update: Installed CA integrated taillights and Moto tinted windscreen. As of now bike is in the shop getting a few fairings repaired and new paint job: flat black. Will post pics when bike is done at the end of the week.
