Hey there guys just wanted to know if anyone had an idea if any of the 05-06 fairings fit for the 03-04 like if the front, fender, tail. let me know please thanks guys.

 

almost look the same . but it's different ! you should get part number and compare just in case . from what i know , i know it wont fit

 

wont fit. i believe the front fender will, and you can squeeze the lowers on. but thats it

 

o man really dang it hahahah i wished it woould fit its so much easier to find fairings for 05 06 lol thanks though guys if theres any other info let me know

 

well the tail will but wont cover your subframe right, the upper will to but wont match up xactly with the front fairing stay. and i dont know how the intake would work. i mean you can run it if you want with out the plastic intake dealies but idk if youd wanna do that. i helped set up my buddies stunt bike, and hes running 06 tail and head on 04. haha but its a stunt bike so its by no means a gud looking canyon carver or anything like that. but if your not really looking at details looks fine.

 

I know for a fact that the front fender will not fit. The tail will not fit either, I think. The 03-04 had the rear master hidden while the 05-06 did not, and I think the tails are slightly different.

On the plus side, the lowers will fit. I run a pair of black lowers off a 05 on my 04 600RR.

 

no the tall will fit... just not cover the subframe right where your legs go over the seat... there wont be a problem with the res.

I've done it before... twice.
The Tank cover, Upper & Mids will bolt on no problem but need to be the same generation. BUT for the uppers to fit you MUST swap out the headlight assembly, front half of the intake tubes & windscreen ie - if you have an 05/06 upper, you need a 05/06 headlight, intake tubes & screen. The fairing stay itself is the same from 03 to 06.
All the lowers will bolt right on across 03 to 06, except for the California lowers, they're different, but providing you have both side they will bolt to any year mid.
The front fender is a no-go, it needs to match the fork ie 03-04 are for RWU fork (two mount bolts), 05/06 are for the USD fork (three mount bolts).
For the tail to work "properly" you need to have the correct subframe - and yes the 03/04 subframe will bolt to a 05/06 frame & vice versa no problem. Like hatebreed said you can make a 05/06 tail work on a 03/04 subframe and vice vresa, but they don't fit well.
