I just bought an 03 and it doesn't have an owners manual in it. But I was wondering how much oil to use. With and without changing the filter.

I'm pretty sure that your bike takes 3.1 quarts of oil with a filter change. Not sure what is needed if you don't change the filter, but I always change my filter when changing oil on my both of my RRs.

 

Always change the filter with the oil. Look at the oil filler marker on the bottom right side of your bike. Just fill it 'til the oil level is in between the hash marks.

 

Well the reason I am asking for both is because I just changed it 400 miles ago and changed the filter aswell. But......... I am going to the track with it this weekend and it needed to be safety wired so I had to take out the drain plug. So the filter currently has 400 miles on it. And the bike has 10K But I know that it is 200ml less without changing the filter. Thanks guys
