I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now so here it is. I got this wrecked 2000 cbr600f4 for free and debated fixing it up and making it 100% original or modifying the bike which I ultimately chose. The project probably took about 3 to 4 months all together working on it a few hours after work. I stripped it down all the way, refinished the frame, wheels, motor and just about every other part. The bike was still in running condition when I picked it up so I replaced gaskets and other wear items on the engine rebuilt the carbs and she runs great. A new pair of forks were needed along with pegs, bars, and a new set of Dunlop q3 plus tires. I ditched the ugly banana seat in favor of a fiberglass tail section and f4i seat. All new controls up front with a trail tech vapor dash and integrated led headlight brought the front end together. I then proceeded to refinish all the little parts like rear sets, calipers, and triple clamps. A fresh paint job in ford j7 metallic along with the gold and black looks great in my opinion. I didn’t want to make some pieced together street fighter and I’m pretty stoked with how it came out, this winter I’ll throw some dirt bars and possibly a mini windscreen on it to make my longer trips a little more bearable. I used these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223482502597 when putting dirty bars on mine, saved a lot of hassle with replacing yoke.

 

Looks great. Beware of that gas cap. Mine came off while at high speed and I never saw it again.
