I ended up buying a battery since that seems to solve this problem most of the time.

The starter relay is new as well as the fuse in it. If the new battery doesn't work ill try a jumper wire and check voltage at the starter

It is actually one strong click. In the video about 12 seconds in I put my phone down to try and start it. Every time I hit the starter button, it clicks.

My guess is that you are right 74demon.

I'm going to try testing everything still tomorrow. Hopefully it's not the starter.

Well I pretty much gave up on the bike. I'm pretty sure it was the starter and that looked like a huge pain to replace. So I fixed the bike I bought for parts that was laid down a few weeks ago. Got that one running and loving it. Still needs a little work but nothing major.

Thanks for the help guys.

I was thinking of pulling pieces off of it and rebuilding them. Then put them onto the bike I am riding and will slowly have a nicely rebuilt bike.

Did you ever find out why it was doing that? My 99 CBR 600f4 is doing the same thing it's one strong click and nothing. Like I went to start it up and it started up but died out because I forgot to put the choke on to warm it up so I went to start it back up and it's just doing the one click noise not from the starter either and the battery is perfect. Was just seeing if you figured it out so that I know where to start on it. It sucks I bought the bike drove it home when on one ride before it died the 1st time because of the fuel pump and now it's not even starting up

This is a very old thread. The OP is no longer active. You would be better served to start a new one.
