Hi there, first post is asking for help.... hmmm...

Anyhoo, I picked up a 2000 F4 that was a track bike and I am trying to resurrect it. I have a harness but I am afraid it may be the wrong one. The harness was cut into before I hot it and the bike, well it was a track bike so trying to piece the two together has been a challenge. Really my main concern is which wires go to the CDI, ie, which color wires go to which pin. I have a schematic, but I can't tell which spot on the schematic goes to which actual pin. Right now all I care about is getting a spark. The rest can happen later. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Can you get someone to take a picture for you, Read somewhere they go top to bottom left to right but from experience that doesn't happen and you dont want to fry your ecu

 

Yeah, that's my issue. In the diagram they are all laid out in a line, but in the real world it's two levels. A picture would be great, and surprisingly hard to find on the internet.

Thank you. That should help. I was told there are 4 different harnesses for this motor. Is that the case? I would assume maybe a California model and UK models but I can't see 4 different harnesses in North America... Anyone know if that is the case?

 

Far as I know Cali and 49 state are different , and different from the UK models , got my pics off E-bay uk, UK have 3 wire Ignition and Immobiliser ,USA and Canadian and Cali have 4 wire Ignitions,
