Default transmission help?

i dont know if this is my transmission but whenever im in 5th and 6th gear just simply cruising around 6000rpm i get a grinding sound. sounds like its coming from my front and rear sprockets and chain. i was talkin to a guy one on one and he was suggesting it might be a transmission and he said it could simply be just putting tans fluid in my bike. any opinions the fluid seems to be the cheapest thing to start with. help please. i ride everyday and need it for work

trans fluid? I hope you dont mean ATF.. your CBR has a wet clutch.. that means that the same oil that is in your engine goes through your clutch....

not sure when i bought the bike a year ago it had them on it. the bike was beat up and i put work into it but ive still yet to do that. i was planning on doing it in a couple of weeks or so but this noise is scaring me while riding. i also ride it pretty hard typically around 8 grand on my travels to and from work(30 miles one way)

My chain was shot when I bought my F4 (although I put another 7k miles on it before I replaced it ) and soon realized I had quite a bit of chain noise and sometimes a grinding sound. It was especially apparent riding in a tunnel near my house in which you are close to the side wall. It even game me a scary loud clunk once. The reason why it was so loud was because the chain/rear wheel alignment was (completely) off. This was also apparent in the rear brake pads because they were tapered!

Check your alignment.
