Does it not have little ticks for mph underneath the km/hr? I am pretty sure mine does. Otherwise you could possibly find a new dial overlay in mph, I am not sure, I have never looked.

You won't be able to alter the speedo so that kph is actually mph i don't think. If there is a cheap way to do it then it would be some kind of new custom speedo overlay that would replace the honda one (maybe you could get a nice white one!) I am sure someone on this forum has customized their speedo before and would have some actual information.

either the speed sensor is calibrated specifically to show km/h via the needle or the cluster. I could say to get an american cluster but I don't think that would fix it...most likely thing is to get an american speed sensor and the american cluster so it shows mph.

cheapest thing to do...convert all the typical speed limits in your area (15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65?) on paper and memorize them in kmh so when you're riding around you know...say, 100km/h = 62mph

No - it is as simple as the overlay being swapped from km to mph.

If you have a Canadian km/h bike, living in the states, put some stickers on the dash for the important speeds - 25,35,45,55,60,65,70... and the consider getting a indiglow dash kit. That'll convert the numbers for you.

Alternatively - a GPS works wonders (this is how I do my cross border speedo)

speed sensorsand the needle servo's are all the same for kmh or mph. Just put an overlay on it.
