hi lads/ladies i have a 1998 cbr 600fx i have no spark on the bike but looking over bike i have found a 2 pin red plug witch wasnt connected to anything iv now learned after stripping the clutch case there isnt a pulse generator fitted i got the bike like this as a non runner and without this part couldanyone tell me if my bike will require the pulse generator to start many thanks john

 

I'm pretty sure it will. The pulse generator is what tells the ECU what position the crank/pistons/and cam is in so it knows when to fire each spark plug.
