Haha well it "cost" me a new R/R (which probably needed to be replaced anyway,) a multimeter (which I need to get for a lot of DIY stuff anyway,) and a batter tender (can't hurt, right?)
But hey, I'm up and riding again, and glad to be back on the road

put your old rectifer back on and if it still works sell to recope for the new one you bought. everyone needs a multimeter. i've got 3. my electrican uncles have 8 or 9 a piece.some were $500

Default Need help again!!! :(

Hey guys, so after I "fixed" the problem and everything seemed to check out fine, I took my bike out for a ride to run some errands. everything was fine I started up the bike and idled it for a couple minutes to warm it up and then went out. I parked the bike (out in the open, it's about 93 degrees today, just for reference) for about 30-45 minutes max and when I came back to leave, pushed the starter, nothing. The battery was COMPLETELY dead. It turned over maybe once or twice and then just the clicks from my pushing the starter button. I had to push start the bike, and the battery proceeded to die on me at every. Single. Intersection. I looked like an idiot!

I'm still using my new R/R. Still waiting on the mm and battery tender to come in. Any ideas?

your stator is bad. i haven't seen any stator not go bad and it seems like it is time for your to be replaced. a rectifer is useless unless it is acutally getting power to rectifie. all stator go bad. it is like and alternater. they all go out.
