Default oil change

sorry to ask stupid question, I've had my F4 for bout 8 months, changed the fluids when I bought it. Now 1,700 miles later and a new year coming up Im wondering, after how many miles or real time is an oil change a necessary, keep in mind I use everyday when weather permits to work and back nothing hardcore, racing or such. Thanks guys!
Also, Im using Honda original oil and filter

Every 3000 miles, that's about 6 weeks for me. Change it myself of course, and always full synth.

I put 4k on mine in the last3 months and almost 20k on my F4 the first year I owned it. mine is is commuting to work 30 miles one way everyday. Pretty much year round. I guess the ones questioning once a year either didnt read the entire post or have a hard time believeing someone would ride last than 3k a year. I know quite a few people in my area that have them just for social hangouts and crap. I dont like those kind of people but I also dont wish harm to the bike either.

thats a long way, 30 miles are what I'll do on a joy ride thru back roads and along the river , but everything is just so close to where I live that Im one of those people that despite riding to work and everywhere else it just not far enough. But riding that much is gotta be awesome, in fact, I hate the fact that it might take me 5 min to gear up/down and warm up the bike; then 5 or 10 min later I get to my destination rides for me are NOT long enough to really enjoy. .

I bought the f4i from my brother after he moved to Alabama. I drove his car down there and rode the bike back. 500 miles in 10 hours. I hurt for a week but its a pretty cool acomplishment I think.
