New member Introduction and carb problem

If the bike starts up fine, but problem is with idling or running properly, (and pilot screws were adjusted correctly, note that I didn't adjust them on my bike), then it is most probably carb synchronization that it needs. I am not an expert, but when the carbs are taken off to be cleaned, particularly whe the vacuum chambers are open, it screws up the air to fuel mixture ratio when set back on the engine. Synchronizer corrects that ratio. That pretty much oversimplification based on diagnosis on my bike.

Make sure that those clamps are fully loose first. Try pulling on one side of the carbs only at a time really hard, and when that side budges a little move to the opposite side and yank that. If that does not work you may need to get some type of pry bar involved and gently pry the bank of carbs off, but be careful not to pry on anything that will break. when you're putting them back on lube the collars of the carbs with silicone or something so they just slide right on.
