I found out today that the EIN # on my '99 F4 was ground off before I bought it. I have owned the bike for 3 yrs, and just brought it with me to CA. This doesn't sound too bad except for the fact that it was at the CHP inspection station . . . the officer told me I could either willingly surrender the engine or take it to court and risk loosing the entire bike. I went with surrendering the engine. . . so, now I need a new engine for my bike.

Does anyone know if a F2 or F3 engine will fit in a F4 frame? I know it sounds like a stupid swap, but I really just want to put an engine in the bike and sell it.

Almost positive the f2 and f3 won't fit. The F4i will with a bit of work though. That really sucks, losing your engine, any way to get in contact with the guy you bought it from see whats going on?

 

Yeah, I didn't think they would fit, but I thought I'd ask. I doubt I would be able to contact the previous owner, I don't think I have any info other than the bill of sale, and that 3+ yrs ago they livedin Lawrence, MA. Thanks.
