If you know how take it a part and check for anything like the mech could have done. I'd go ahead and just pour oil on all the parts while its open. If he "cleaned it up" then it could run dry to a little bit causing damage.

very good post. Anytime you disassemble an engine, even just the head, you should always reassemble with an engine building white grease or oil. Prevents damage for when you first start it up

all he did was take the valve cover off to have the cams esposed, they were still lubed up with oil and everything....
by cleaning it up i believe he meant cleaning the cams a bit and more-so cleaning out the metal shavings....
i pick the bike up in 10mins, wish me luck guys, i'm going to keep a km tally on how long the bike lasts me....
