Default It's with a heavy heart....

......to report my CBR1000F has gone to a new home.
Life has really been in turmoil and taken a turn for the worse. My wife, as most of you know, has been battling pancreatic cancer for about the past year and a half and has been in remission. Well, last week, she had a stroke. It was caused by a side effect of the blood thinner she was taking. She's on the slow road to recovery now.
I had decided to sell my ATV since it appears she will never regain enough function to be able to go riding together again. Well, a fella offered me a deal I just couldn't pass up. A trade for a 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 with a little over 10,000 miles on it and with 1 3/4" risers and a few other goodies. I decided to take the deal. Not needing 2 bikes, my CBR found a new home today with my next door neighbor, so at least I'll be able to visit her on occasion. I also told him about the forum here and its resources and the good people, so he might be showing up here.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to the friends I've made on here and to say ill still be dropping by when I get the chance.
One last thing. Enjoy what you have today, because it may be gone tomorrow!

Courage Matt, courage is what makes us all, you me and your Darling Wife.

As you say keep up with life cause it's too easy for it to overtake you. Enjoy every day as if it is your last and savour the days.

I hope you do stick around, you have been a bonus for the forum and will be missed if you go. Think of Wooferdog - he couldn't stay away!

Please pass on Mrs SB's and my best wishes to your Wife for a speedy recovery.

Cheers, SB

PS: The GTR1400 is an AWESOME bike. Many people I know on the Aussie GTR forum have them and would rather sell their first born than the bike.

PPS: When your ship has righted, get another CBR1000F, they are a yardstick motorcycle!

Thanks for the kind words Craig.
I told my neighbor if he decides to sell the CBR, that I have dibs on it lol. I'm taking the Connie on her maiden voyage today with a buddy that has a NC700X. I took her for a quick spin around the block yesterday and the one thing that I really like is the 1 3/4" Heli Risers on it. That puts me at almost a straight up riding position. I took my CBR, about 3 weeks ago or so, on a 240 mile ride and I was just so sore the next day. I hope this new bike is a little easier on my body!

Thanks woof. She really needs all the help she can get right now.
Spokane? We went over there on June 19,20 & 21 for the Jeff Dunham show, but the weather was pretty miserable. Cold and rainy, until the day we left to come home (naturally).

+1 on S.B.

I wanted to test ride a GTR1400 at Americade this year but all the time slots were filled for the day. I did take the ZX1400 out. If the GTR has even 1/2 the motor, WOW!

Best of luck.

Mercy and good will to your Mrs.,Matt. Be careful with the new ride and come home safe to your ever-lovin. Thanks for all your contribution here and don't be a stranger.

We will miss you Matt
To you and your wife, may you both have better health and luck in the future.
I'm sure the new bike will be a pleasure, and hope you have many happy miles, and smiles.
Keep in touch, just because you don't own a 1000F doesn't mean you have to lose all your friends.
We'll be here, drop by and visit, there'll always be a virtual cold frosty one on the bar for you.
