Muffler Repacking?
so, i bought my 00' F4 last November with a hindle slip-on, and i kind of tried to compare its muffler sound to other similar models with hindle pipes on YouTube and i tend to feel like mine is a little louder (more screaming like a truck)
so,
-does my pipe need to be repacked ?
-what are the signs of a due to repack pipe?
-where can i find repacking kit for hindle (couldnt find it anywhere)?
-how hard is it to repack a muffler?
-and what tools do i need for that?

You can get a repack kit from any moto sport store, especially those with dirtbikes as they repack their pipes more often. The repack is universal so no need for anything brand specific. Difficulty depends on the pipe, some (probably most) pipes are rivited together and you need to drill out the rivets on the endcap to remove it, repack the muffler then rivet it back together. Some pipes are held together with regular screws/bolts but the job is the same ie: get the endcap off. Once it's off, you can stuff new packing in there to your hearts content and then reassemble. Obviously it goes pretty quickly if you have screws/bolts. The rivets are more time consuming and requires a rivet gun but not hard at all. The repack kits go for anything from $10 for hightemp fibreglass stuffing to around $30 for a pre-made sleeve that just slides in, no mess, no fuss.
