u need to raise the front end of the bike and slide the fork tubes up in the tripple clamp you want to keep the drop even with the rear. just measure each side alot befor you tighten every thing down, then put your flame suit on cause you will prolly have someone hatin on you lol

n you dont wanna go below 1.5'' or you may run into problems

i lowered mine 3 in the rear and 1 in the front bike tears through the corners as well as it did at stock you may have to adjust the shocks a little bit but keep track of where you start and write it down so if something is not the way you like it you can go back

you got to cut it down and weld the flat part back on the bottom cut alittle off at a time to test where you want it then take it off n get the bottom welded back on, or you can go adjustible but that cost more. when you cut it do it on concrete so it doesnt stick in the ground n fall over

I recently lowered my gf's '99 F4. The new brackets for the rear lowered the bike 4cm and it was also suggested to lower the front 1cm on the fork tubes wich i did. The bike handles fine to my surprise. She is 155cm and barely reaching down even with extra soles on the boots, hehe.

BTW. I solved the kickstand issue with a steel pipe, extending the stand so I was able to bend it a little forward and outward. It's not in the way of anything while riding and it will be cheaper to bend it back when she's gonna sell it.

Mine isn't lowered but I'm sure I saw a "Lowering do's and don't" thread somewhere here. I read that yumoncbr (600RR) got her kickstand bent somewhere instead of getting a new one or welding the OEM one.
