interest in carbon wrapped F4 tank?
I have decided to go with the F4i tank and plastic on my bike, thus I won't be needing the F4 tank. At the moment it isn't wrapped in carbon, though I'm tossing the idea around of using it as a "test" unit to practice for my F4i tank. I don't really want to dump lots of time/money into it though if when I'm done I'd have to toss it in the garbage. It is in excellent shape (only one small ding that I'll pull/clean up before I wrap it).
So my question is: "If I wrap this tank would anyone be willing to buy it or is it just wasting money?"
This isn't meant to be a for sale add but because I can't post in the "for sale section" yet (couldn't post there anyways as I don't have a pic of the "finished" product), I don't really have any other place to post it. So mods please don't get mad at me, I'm really just trying to see if messing with this tank is even worth my time.
Thanks,
Chris

This is right there on the edge of the rules. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt so I'll let it pass this time.
What I'll say on topic is this: if it's not worth your time to use as practice before doing it to your own tank, most likely it's worthless to everyone else. Nobody sane is gonna be interested in a promise, with no proof that you'll have a finished product. Right now, the only value the tank has is in practice to you. Or eBay as is.

I'm certainly not looking for anyone to say "yeah I'll buy it, here is my money" but rather wondering if anyone out there would even want a carbon wrapped tank.

I really like how knifemaker87 did his CF covered tank. I would like to see if you could do as well as he did on his tank... https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-600f2...110907/page25/ .
If you want to do a thorough HOW-TO, I'm sure there'd be interest in seeing that.

Not sure if you are planning on converting your F4 to an F4i fuel injection setup or whatever.. but the tanks are different... if you are just trying to emulate the look of an F4i you can simply keep your F4 tank.. nobody will know.
Yeah I'm tossing around the idea of going fuel injection (was aware of the differences due to the air box). My issue is all 4 diaphragms in my carbs are scrapped. At $75 each, plus other gaskets and bits, it kind of feels like wasted money for fixing the carbs.
IDK.... still have a bit of time before I get there....
