I wouldn't mind respraying my sidestand, but I'm put off by what a big of a job fitting a centrestand was, with those stiff springs. How much of a hassle is the sdestand spring to hook back into position?

 

When I purchased our yellow 2006 F4i, which uses the same spring for the side stand spring, I had to raise it back up as it had been lowered. Part of the process involved putting a factory side stand back on. Putting that spring back on was not incredibly difficult, but wasn't a breeze either. I don't think I would allow the challenge of hooking that spring back on as any type of deterrent to doing something.

 

Might be worth investing in a pair of brake spring pliers!
