Its all about technique.

You don't have to be a body builder to lift your bike on the center stand. Quite compact girl can lift any bike that have central stand without any problem.

Here how I do it:
1. Put your bike on the side stand and get off it.
2. Approach your bike from the left side.
3. Center the bike holding left bar with your left hand and seat or read handle with your right one (My CBR600F4 got rear handle). If you feel that you gona lay your bike on the right, just pull it, opened side stand will prevent it to crash over you.
4. With your right feet apply your weight or just stand on the center stand's lever, while centering the bike vertically until you will feel both stand's legs are on the ground. At this point you will feel that the bike is very stable.
5. Now apply all your weight on your right feet and gently pull the bike with your hands backwards. The point here is not just to pull backward but to stand on the center stand's lever with all your weight.
6. Congrats

Important: Put your bike on the central stand only on straight and narrow area.

Btw: Side stand is much more stable than center.

I feel real dumb. Since I just bought a F4 about 6 weeks ago, I can't say I have ever seen a center stand for one. You mean there is one available ?

Yeah, you should have one, unless previous owner removed it for weight reduction.

No prob.

Stay firm and be gentle with the bike and everything will be Ok

Maybe use another guy to stand from the right side of the bike just to feel safe. Just tell him to push bike to your side if something will go wrong.

Hmmmm, the owners manual talks of the side stand and how to use it. But there is no mention of a center stand. Just went to the workshop and checked my recently purchased parts manual. None is shown there either. It may have been an option or used outside of the U.S., at least on a '99 F4.
