Can you please help me! can anyone give me a step by step guide of how to remove a centre stand on a cbr600fy 2000 model. thanks in advance.

 

Hi. If you can get hold of a Haynes manual for the Honda CBR 600 Fours from '99 to '06, chapter 6 section 4 shows photos and describes how to do this. I am going to remove mine tomorrow (2002 F1) so I'll tell you how easy/hard it was once I've done it. The reason I am removing my stand is that it doesn't return when I drop the bike off the stand. It will probably just need some copper grease or similar to get it working properly again. It looks easy enough so I'm going to give it a go. I could have typed out word for word from the Haynes manual but I think it would be easier doing it first and then telling you how I did it! If you manage to do yours before me, then just post and let me know?
