Hooking up throttle cables at carb

This tedious little task is driving me crazy!! I cleaned the carbs which was actally quite easy but reconnecting the throttle cables at the carb is nearly impossible. SO, does anyone have a way to do it?...what is the secret?
I was thinking that very tiny needle nose pliers would help so I may go to the tool store and pick that up. Its quite frustrating to be so close to getting the bike up and running and stalling out on one of the last steps.
Thanks

Pliers and 2 fingers.
One finger to turn the rocker so it's closer to the cable, and the other finger to push the head through the hole.
I always take all of the slack out of the adjuster as well, then tighten it up when it's all ready to go back on.
I hope this helps, sorry I cant be more thorough but it's a difficult task to explain! just gotta play with it

thanks for the quick response. I think my fingers are too big so Im getting my girlfriend to try. This is unexpectedly the hardest part of cleaning the carbs.
If anyone else has any tips let me know. In the meantime Im going to clean the chain or order parts.
