Default Honda CBR600F (1999) Using My HTC One X As GPS & Mounting?

I've been looking over the Tinterweb and found a few bits and bobs, however I want to use my HTC One X as my GPS and be mounted on a CBR600.

I've bought a charger for it and will connect to battery etc etc, that's the easy bit.

So, basing it on this, anyone doing something similar on their CBR?

I can see from here I can get a waterproof case for the phone, but it's the mounting of it on the bike that I'm confused with as this one has a crappy gripper type. Obviously with £450 of phone I want it to be 100% waterproof and 100% solid and not drop off...

Anyone out there help me?

Juts make sure to tether it to the bike so if any thing does fail you won't lose it or break it.

Def tether! ;-)

There have been threads/posts here on the forum regarding exactly what you are asking. Perhaps do some looking around & hopefully you'll find some good ideas.

Let us know what you come up w/.

Well, thinking I will go along the lines of:

This Mount

with the appropriate phone cover (which I think they said is available for the HTC One X in 2 weeks time) and case adaptor to fit on it. One query though, as I've not shipped my bike yet and can't measure the stem fork attachment width, I'm unsure which size to order...

Stem Fork attachment is in 3 sizes; 13.3mm - 14.7mm or (0.52" - 0.58"), 15.0mm - 17.2mm (0.59" - 0.68") and 17.5mm - 20.5mm (0.68" - 0.81").

Anyone know what the stem size is on my bike?

The opening is 19.35mm. So, it looks like the last size listed is your answer.

Wow, I like that mount, I was briefly checking out the link you posted. Do they make a case for the HTC Thunderbolt?

Well in theory your phone is (122 x 66 x 13.2 mm) and this case would fit yours fine... now, I'm waiting on them bringing out the HTC One X which is bigger you see and won't fit in that case.... but for your Thunderbolt... reckon this would fit onto that stem mount.

So, from the stem mount you get this:

Giving this connection....

Which you can then go and buy this case from here...to slip on... I reckon they're the same mounts.

Suppose there's different ways of doing it... but then I'd tie that link around your bars as well just in case that ever pops off. Also this one's good as it's got two zips, therefore, wherever your mini USB port is for riding and charging, you can connect your charger. I've already bought the *** lighter connection with inline fuse for the 12v supply, so annoyingly just need a weatherproof case large enough for my phone and I'm in business. I've just ordered the full stem kit...

Awesome, thanks. I thought it was a case for the phone specifically, now I see its more of a pouch that it goes in. I'll browse around their site. I would like one big enough to fit my giant Otterbox-like case into.
