i am having serious issues with my 00 cbr 600. i just re-painted it and now whenever i try to start it up there is a grinding sound near the battery and starter relay switch as well as near the rear cowl. the bike will not even try to kick over, just makes annoying sound. if i continue to push the starter switch the sound will eventually stop like the battery is dead. i tested the battery and my multimeter is reading 11.8. i also checked wire connections. im not that mechanically inclined so if anyone knows what the issue is; i will greatfully appreciate it.

 

I guess this is solved!? My guess is the wireing of negativ/ground to the starter.

My strange sounds came from a broken frontwheel bearings so I´ll just have to keep locking for a how to on that :-)
