Default Hiss Immobiliser Question

Hi guys, the ignition switch on my 1999 cbr 600 f4 (FX) gave out on me, instead of replacing with a very expensive switch , cdi unit etc. I got a non chip/transponder ignition switch and key off ebay for much cheaper, I had been under the impression that so long as I have the original key with transponder chip then all I needed to do was have that key in close proximity to the hiss unit and there should be no problems, this is not the case though, the bike switches on no problem when i turn the key but the hiss light over the temp gauge does not go out, no matter how close i put the chip key to it, the bike will crank off the button but no ignition/spark. I'm in Ireland so it's a European model bike and definitely got immobiliser unit.
Any help/info appreciated,

Hi matey , you must have one of the first HISS cbr600, ,when you change the ignition did you transfer the Hiss halo surround onto the new ignition, thats the part that speaks with the ECU

Yes I believe that's the black surround with a little box on it and wires, it's attached to the top yoke so never removed it, just took the entire yoke off with it attached and replaced the ignition switch before reassembling, question for you, is the key a conductor for the chip inside the key, as in is the key carrying a current to the transponder chip inside the plastic part of the key? If it is then why doesn't it work when i touch the metal part of the original chipped key off the metal part of the new unchipped key with ignition switched on? I saw a video of a guy with an american 00 f4 go on about a diode that's needed, it's a diode that's in the original ignition switch, it needs to be transferred to the new switch but I checked my original switch and there is no diode inside it so the 00 (FY) must be different or because its a US model and different.

Yes the USA bikes dont have a HISS , but an anti theft which is a diode in the ignition switch on the Pink wire which drops the 12v to the ECU to around 9v, with your bike its the original chip in the key that the ECU is reading which has to be as close as possible to the halo ,once ignition is on the Halo talks to the ECU ,recognises the Chip and opens the ECU to Pump operation, , there are quite a few Video's on You Tube showing the the key in proximity to the ignition , Look at Kal from Australia he shows it well

Here's the video i watched.

Thanks, that guy has some great videos.notice how the bike recognises the key even when it's not in the ignition, when he puts the key in close proximity to the halo the hiss picks up the signal and allows the bike to be started, this is "Exactly" what I am hoping to achieve but my bike is not complying, perhaps it'snot a hiss system on my bike, it doesn't say hiss anywhere actually, here's a couple of photos of mine.

Yes matey no halo , but then why doesnt yours start , could it be you've got the USA loom and ECU ,and if you put on an aftermarket ignition it will need the diode, does it have a Pink wire harness side going to the ignition

Ok I'm away from the bike at the moment so cant tell you about wire colour but I'm pretty sure that it's a no on there been a pink wire.

What I do know is that the original harness from ignition to connector is a 3 wire job, it has a 4 wire connector with the 4th connection being a blank.

The new ignition has 4 wires and a 4 connection connector, I wonder has this something to do with the problem
