HELP with poor throttle response at low rpm
i recently picked up a 1999 f4 and have been riding it for a few months and im starting to notice that it doesent really give me good response when im below 5000rpm could this be caused by needing to clean my carbs?? or would a jet kit make this better? ive been reading and trying to see if this is a common issue and havent found another thread but who know i might have missed it!
all the help would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.
Fuel, air, spark...these are what you need for it to run properly. Your particular problem could be one or a combo.
Do you have service records to verify the servicing of these items?
What do you define as "good response" when below 5k?

i bought the bike used and he didnt really have any service records. but im an apprentice automotive mechanic so im not to worrked about maintiance just havent had to deal with carbs more or less fuel injection, but in any case i have all 3 fuel, spark, and air. so im not to sure what to start with to narrow it down.
poor response to me is it kind of has like a stutter between 1200 and 4500 rpm and any where after that it feels fine just below that its very sliggish
bike also has 40,000 kms on it
