Default help oil build up by kickstand

hey i want to buy a cbr 600 f4 and i noticed that there was oil build up by the kick stand and lower or bottom fairing it looked like oil but not sure the bike has 12,000 miles on it and is 1999 model bike looks fine should i be concered about this or not thanks??

Thats probably your chain lube flinging off

so than the engine is not leaking nor is the tranny?? one more thing the owner of the bike did replace the sprockets and the chain may be thats what it could be thanks >SERGE

more than likely just chain sludge.... but it could be dripping out the engine, you would need to take off the fairing to track it down. if it is leaking from the engine, its most likely from the stator cover, $15 gasket and half hour to fix

I'm not sure why he had to replace the chain and sprokets at 12K, but it's proly chain lube of some sort. I use the PJ1 clear lube myself.

Yeah you alway want to replace both sprockets and the chain at the same time.I just think 12K is a bit early to need sprockets,that's all. He must have been kinda hard on the bike. My stock sprockets made it to 28K and they were still ok, but I took them off to do the 520 kit.

Yeah...I have that too on my F4...should just be from the excesslube on the chain...all good...
