Exclamation Help! New Battery, drains after a while

I bought a new battery about 2 months ago. Since, I've had the battery die twice in the last 2 weeks. I have charged the battery once, since it died. What could be the issue?

74demon, would it be my stator or R/R that would cause this issue?

Could be either or both.

There are some links to stator and R/R testing all over this forum. Grab your DVOM and start testing...

I will test the stator and the R/R. Hopefully that will tell where the issue is.

Thx, Demon

put money on it being the RR its a common problem with hondas. ive changed mine numerous times,

its an easy test just check the voltage coming into the battery to ensure it is charging correctly.

remember to the RR doesnt charge on idol you will need to bring the revs up while checking.

good luck

While yes it is probably the R/R The main reason for them failing is that the stator is on its way out.
